Dear Reader
From rock star TO PAINTER • The home of Monnique, Henrik and their two children reflects a passion for creativity. These days, Monnique makes a living from painting and from sharing her art with dedicated social media followers. In this article, we’ll tour her home and she’s going to tell us about her exciting journey from rock star to painter.
A passion for PATINA • Linda Diamond and her husband, Bill, have been living in a newly built house in Whitney Ranch, Rocklin, California, for five years – and they love it. Although this is a completely new standard house without much obvious character or charm, the couple has managed to create a home oozing of personality, not least because of Linda’s talent for finding unique vintage furniture. From the very beginning, Linda was on a mission to furnish the home with unusual and unique pieces of furniture and wonderful vintage finds to hide the fact that this is a standard house. Mission accomplished. Join us for a visit to the couple’s amazing home.
Tasty dishes with BEANS • In 2025, we’ll be featuring an article series in which Mathilde will offer you plenty of inspiration on tasty and easy-to-make food with various types of beans. The first article is about edamame beans. These young, unripe soybeans are often served steamed or boiled. They are originally from East Asia where people eat them as a snack or an appetizer. Edamame beans are a great source of plant-based protein and they are also rich in fibers, vitamins and minerals such as magnesium, iron and potassium. They are low-fat and contain no cholesterol. Perfect for January.

ARTIST Sabine Frank • Join us as we visit Sabine Frank in Charlottenburg, Berlin. She’s an artist creating the most amazing paintings. Her signature is baked goods, and she’s had her studio here in Mommsenstrasse for 10 years. The studio features only two rooms but they are full of art and poetry.
BEDROOMS • The bedroom is one of the most personal rooms in our home and a place that calls for something extra in the interior design. By creating a beautiful oasis of peace and personality for yourself, you’re bound to feel at ease in this room. Use natural materials such as wood, linen and cotton to create a warm and inviting atmosphere. Recycling furniture, including old nightstands or an antique dresser, can add soul and history to the bedroom. You’ll also want to consider creative recycling – you can turn an old door into a headboard or you can use a chest for storage by the end of the bed. Small details such as beautiful cushions, a homemade blanket or a unique lamp from a flea market also contribute to the personal feel. We’ve visited various bedrooms with their very own style and personality.
