THE FORMER GROCERY STORE – L’Épicerie de Vénat • Back in 2009, Monique fell in love with this house. She was searching for a family home but she didn’t need to see any other houses for sale after visiting this one. She immediately knew that this was going to be her new home where friends and family could visit. As several rooms are empty during part of the year, Monique came up with the idea of making a Bed & Breakfast, sharing her house and the special story of this place with passing visitors.

The feeling of a COLORFUL SPRING • In the cut flower garden at "Janes Blomsterunivers", the first daffodils, hellebores and other spring flowers are starting to pop up. Jane loves making decorations and she’ll obviously use them to decorate her Easter table. She has added an old glass container with holes for flowers to a wonderful, old centerpiece, and she has added various flowers and greenery from the garden to the container. She has also filled up the centerpiece with water. A bundle of birch twigs has been turned into a wreath and the wreath has been placed around the decoration. Noah’s and Sif’s SWEET UNIVERSE • My cooperation with Sif Orellana has led to many exciting projects and I’m very excited to tell you that we’ll be offering you some of Sif’s best recipes, accompanied by a few comments from her, in each edition of the magazine in 2024. She has published lots of cookery books and has won several prizes for her books. The books are always much more than just cookery books with recipes because they also offer a glimpse of her life. She always adds cozy DIY projects and evocative pictures to her books.

THE TRANSFORMATION of Hotel Lidenlund • Those of you who know me personally or have followed me for the past years will know that I love my home town, Lemvig in Denmark, very much. This town just has a special place in my heart. For this reason, I was very delighted to be able to follow the transformation of the former "Industrihotellet" when it was taken over by new owners a few years ago. On the following pages, you can see the pictures and read the story about this transformation. And in spring 2024, we’ll organize a readers’ trip to Lemvig and we’ll stay at this hotel.
