Dear Reader
Back to THE ROOTS • Linn from Sweden has always liked interior design and she loves this haven and hobby. Ever since she furnished her first apartment, she’s had a talent for creating a cozy, warm and inviting home.
Modern OPEN SANDWICHES • The season’s good and simple ingredients inspired these delicious open sandwiches. They’re so full of taste and very easy to prepare. They are always popular here at Kærby Mølle, no matter whether we’re hosting a workshop, gathering the entire family or just enjoying some quality time as a couple.
KITCHENS – IDEAS FOR A COUNTRY STYLE KITCHEN • Our kitchen themes have always been quite alternative and they’ve rarely followed the trends. At the moment, the trend is minimalism; however, we’d like to stick to a country style, inspired by the rustic and cozy life in the countryside. You can easily create such a kitchen even if your kitchen elements are modern ones, like in Tine’s kitchen, and even if you’re living in an apartment in town. Typically, the country style kitchen has a warm and inviting feel to it, and focus is on natural materials and nostalgic details.

COUNTRY STYLE KITCHENS from the past 15 years • Throughout the years, we’ve often added a kitchen theme to the magazine and here we’ll show you a few examples. One of the kitchens that we used quite often – and changed plenty of times – was the kitchen at Tjørnegaarden, once the company’s main office. In that place, we were able to go crazy and experiment with exciting walls and homemade furniture.

VEGETARIAN EVERYDAY FOOD full of vitamins • This time, I’d like to share with you some of my favorite recipes from the book "Nye familietraditioner" (New family traditions). These are easily prepared and healthy dishes that will fill you up with plenty of vitamins and healthy nutrients. I recommend that you do a proper "family health day" one day a week. I hope that you’d like to try out the recipes and establish a weekly health day as a new tradition in your family – or for you.
MEMORIES creating a meaning • Evelina Mosbæk and Peter Karlsson live with their children, Helmer, Nils and Doris, in scenic surroundings close to the lake of Mosjön in Sweden. Their home oozes of history and transformation, and it used to be a small soldier’s hut, construction date unknown. Evelina and Peter fell in love with it despite its deteriorated state, and because Peter was convinced of the potential of the house and liked the location by the lake, he managed to convince Evelina’s heart as well. Since then, they’ve transformed the house together by adding more space and renovating the place both indoors and outdoors. Using a "do-it-yourself" approach, they’ve done most of the work on their own.

DREAMING OF A SPECIAL PLACE – Hunter Moon Homestead • "In my dreams, it was a farm that we’d share with other people – even before we became the stewards of this place. We made a long list...
